James 1:13 – If God doesn’t tempt anyone, then why did he tempt Abraham?

abraham-sarah_021

The problem is this: Jesus said for us to pray, “do not lead us into temptation.” (Matt. 6:13) The apostle James tells us, “he [i.e., God] himself tempts no one.” Yet, the Bible says, “God tempted Abraham” (Gen. 22:1, KJV), also rendered, “God tested Abraham” (Gen. 22:1, ESV, NASB, CSB, LEB, and others)

Whenever any follower of God is inflicted with any kind of pain, suffering, adversity, or difficult time, he or she would be very wrong to blame God, as though God were trying to tempt them into committing a sin. If any Christian is going through a trial, this is because God has allowed sin to enter the world, not because he placed that trial in front of his servant. If a Christian is going through a trial that God has allowed to happen…

  1. The bible says we are Epistles of the Most High God – II Cor 3:2. How can this scripture affect our personal evangelism overtly and covertly?

Ans: It makes us to know that we are not sufficient of our self to think anything as of ourselves, but our Sufficiency is of God

  1. Discuss briefly what the phrase “unsaintly saints” mean. Make use of the points from your study on Christian conduct.

Ans: The Unsaintly Saint are believer that still harbor in sin, which make them ugly dispositional flaws from being fruitful and shall never be a vessel meant for the lord’s use until they become more concentrated to God.

  1. The Bible enjoins us to be at peace with all men. How do we handle the cases of people who are always getting on our nerves? Quote scriptures to support your answer

Ans: According to the book of Hebrew 12: 1-4 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. The bible encourage us to always try as much as possible to live in peace with every one because with out holiness no one will see the lord

  1. All good and perfect gifts are from God Almighty. How can we relate this to the induction on the moderation in all things in phi1 4:5a?

Ans: Whatever is good is from God; whatever is evil is from man himself. As from the sun, which is the father or fountain of light, all light comes; so from God, who is the infinite Fountain, Father, and Source of good, all good comes. And whatever can be called good, or pure, or light, or excellence of any kind, must necessarily spring from him, as he is the only source of all goodness and perfection.

  1. Name 3 people that fasted in the Bible. Why do you think they did so?

Ans: Jesus (Jesus spent forty days and nights in the wilderness fasting and praying before He began God’s work on this earth. He needed time alone to prepare for what His Father had called Him to do) Jesus was getting prepared for the Ministry

Paul and Barnabas (Paul and Barnabas prayed and fasted for the elders of the churches before committing them to the Lord for His service) Paul and Barnabas fasted to seek God’s wisdom

Nehemiah (Nehemiah mourned, fasted, and prayed when he learned Jerusalem’s walls had been broken down, leaving the Israelites vulnerable and disgraced) Nehemiah fasted to show grief.
22. That spiritual advantages do you enjoy from fasting? Fasting should be a habit which Christians must cultivate. Start today.

Ans: There are things that God desires to happen in our lives and ministry that won’t happen unless we fast. Fasting breaks strongholds, liberates people, and moves us into a realm of realizing God’s power in our lives. The more time you’re spending with God, the more you’re going to see the hand of God on your life in an extraordinary way. Like the disciples, there are things that God wills for us to do that we will not have the power to bring about unless we have spent time with Him

  1. The Bible says that divine healing is the children’s meat – Matthew 5:28. Is it scriptural to seek medical attention at the onset of every sickness Exodus 15:26, Ps.127:1, Ps. 103:3 Jer 17 [Aids for ref).

Ans: I don’t think it is scripture because the bible says in the book of Exodus 23:25 That God will take away sickness away from our midst, all what we just need to do is to go to him in prayer.

  1. Enumerate the source of illness as discussed in your believer’s class booklet. From which one of them does your illness normally come? Align your confession with what the Bible says about you – Joshua 1:8, I Peter 2:24.

Ans: God’s will is for me to be healthy! The bible reveals that healing and health is his will for me. God is a healer and he has already made provision for my healing.

God word will always bring healing and his word will never pass away or lose it power.

  1. Restitution may be difficult but it is important to clear your mind of obstacles to Heaven. In the presence of the Holy Spirit ask God to give you the grace to begin restitution today.

Ans: God I ask for your divine grace to restitute all that I have taken forcefully from people and minister to their heart to forgive me as I come to restitute what I have taken from them. Amen

  1. How does Proverbs 3:9a describe our giving to God? Write it down and tell God, that this is what you intend to do.

Ans: Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.
I intend to give God the best I have and be fruitful to his word for he is the one and provides all I need. I intend to use my wealth positively to influence the life of unbelievers, so as to get them closer to God.

  1. How many possible demonic covenants can there be?

Ans: More than seven

  1. Name four “Christian Cults” What are the likely problems of becoming a
    member of any of them?

Ans: Christian Science, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism, Seventh-day Adventism

Likely problems of becoming a member of the Christian cult

1.     You might not be used to their method of teaching

2.     You must be able to evangelized to the Unsaintly saint

  1. What do you know about the Rapture? Do you believe in it? Use Bible quotations for support

Ans: There are many different interpretation of the end times event, it seems that many, if not most evangelical Christian’s have encountered presume that the resurrection from the dead and rapture of the church mentioned in 1 Thess 4;16, 17 will occur  prior to the great tribulation period mentioned in different part of the bible.  I believe that when rapture shall occur, it is only the saint that shall be call out from the earth, while the unsaved shall remain on earth for 7 years. During that period, the government of anti Christ shall take over that earth for great seven years of tribulation.

After the seven years is over, Christ will come to earth destroy the anti Christ. it is only those who refuse to collect the mark of the beast by the anti Christ that would be saved.

  1. It is appointed unto man to die once after that judgment. Discuss with Bible references.

Ans: According to the book of Hebrew 9:27 (And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment) therefore there is nothing like second death after judgment. That is why the bible encourages us to live a fulfilled life while on earth so as to make heaven.

  1. “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, … – Psalm 84.10. With this quotation from the Bible one can infer that there is likely to be some occupation in Heaven as singing, door keeping
adoration of God etc.. Narrate some of the works/things that can qualify you for Heaven.

Ans: Obeying God’s commandment, living a Christ like life, making your body a temple of the Most High, working for God, following his word and spreading his word allover the earth.

  1. What rewards await a successful believer when he gets to Heaven? – Daniel 12:3.

Ans: After the great tribulation, only the believer in Christ shall witness the new Jerusalem, life for the believers in life shall be till infinity after the rapture.

There shall no longer be need to be sick and death shall be roll always from the earth.

Just as Jesus promise, there are many Rooms in his father house which are meant only for the followers of Christ.

God will shine his glory upon his people.

The Final Word Before The End Of The World

hqdefault
As we journey towards eternity, it becomes more imperative for each one of us to make a conscious effort to
eliminate every weight and sin that easily beset us. There are many Christians who started well yesterday but have either allowed these weights to prevent them making meaningful progress or are in a different race entirely. Thank God for those who are still in the race.
It is for this reason that we plead for an honest self appraisal of our Christian lives as we come to the end of our studies by giving two quality attention to the following questions:
1. Are there sins you do not want to be preached about?
2. Are there sins you are always ready to excuse because you consider them small or because you have ‘better’ names for them?
3. Are there sins you prefer to commit when no one is around?
4. Are there sins which always seem to stand on your way when you really feel like talking with God?
Are there sins you continually try to make yourself believe are weaknesses, arising from
• the peculiarity of your tribe, family, profession, environment, etc.? Remember, the devil may provide pleasures and benefits of sins but he will always hide the price tag, which is, hell fire.

Confess all known  sins today and rededicate your life to the soon coming King. JESUS CHRIST. May God not allow any sin to stand on your way to Heaven .AMEN
